Alleging that the country has been witnessing corruption ever since the BJP led NDA came to power at the Centre, CPI Puducherry unit secretary R Viswanathan lambasted Prime Minister Narendra Modi for being out of India for most part of the year and remaining silent even as the Vyapam scam had been exposed.
"Around 50 persons had died in the wake of the scam and the country was witnessing corruption everywhere ever since BJP led NDA came to power," he said.
Criticising the AINRC government here,he said though Chief Minister N Rangasamy was extending support to the NDA, the Union Territory had been let down by the Centre on several counts.
