AP CM to visit China with delegates to attract investments

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and other delegates including ministers Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, P Narayana and K Achhan Naidu will leave for China on April 12, official statement said today.
According to a press release by the AP government, the Chief Minister will make a high-level pitch for investments in the energy sector and manufacturing.
"During the first leg of his visit, he will be in Beijing. He will meet executives of iPhone manufacturer Foxconn and low-cost smart phone manufacturer Xiaomi. He will highlight how AP has the potential to become a manufacturing hub for these gadget makers within and outside the country," the release stated.
With Andhra Pradesh planning electronic hardware clusters as part of its manufacturing policy, Xioami and Foxconn would be tapped to set up facilities in the state, it said.
Naidu is scheduled to tour Huawei's research and development centre and have a first-hand look of the facility, the release stated.
He will meet executives from Siemens and the Sinoma International Engineering Company Ltd which manufacture engineering equipment.
During his visit, the AP CM will address industrialists, investors and businessmen at three round-table meetings in Beijing, Chengdu as well as Shanghai, explaining investment opportunities in the state of Andhra Pradesh, the release added.
