AP govt assures health cards, insurance scheme for scribes

Andhra Pradesh Minister for Information & Public Relations Palle Raghunatha Reddy today promised health cards and insurance scheme for all working journalists in the state.
He was speaking after inaugurating the renovated second floor of the Vijayawada Press Club here.
"The state is committed for the welfare of the journalists and their families," he said.
He praised the role of the media in propagating the welfare schemes implemented by the state government.
Senior leaders of Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ), including K Srinivasa Reddy, D Amar among others, were also present.
