AP MLC polls: Siddharth Nath Singh congratulates PM for BJP

Andhra Pradesh BJP in-charge Siddharth Nath Singh today congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP chief Amit Shah and the AP state BJP unit following the success of the party in the recently-held legislative council polls.
"In the recently-concluded Legislative Council polls (from graduates and teachers constituencies) in Andhra Pradesh, the BJP candidate emerged victorious from Vishakhapatnam (Srikakulam-Vizianagaram-Visakhapatnam seat). On the rest of the four seats, BJP's partner TDP contested," he said.
Attributing the win to the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and party president Amit Shah, Singh who recently took oath as Uttar Pradesh Cabinet minister, said, "The victory in the election was primarily because of the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party chief Amit Shah. I would also congratulate the state BJP unit."

Earlier, the five seats, which went to polls were held by CPI, he said.
Polling was conducted for
Srikakulam-Vizianagaram-Visakhapatnam,
Prakasam-Nellore-Chittoor and Kadapa-Kurnool-Anantapur Graduates constituencies, and Prakasam-Nellore-Chittoor, and Kadapa-Kurnool-Anantapur Teachers Constituencies.
