APMFDC seeks Rs 200 cr for protecting Wakf properties

Andhra Pradesh State Minorities Development Corporation (APMFDC) has sought a grant of Rs 200 crore to protect properties of Wakf Board in the state.
Addressing reporters here, Mohammed Hidayat, MD, APMFDC, said they also sought Rs 25 crore for the construction of Haj House in Andhra Pradesh during the meeting in Hyderabad on January 23.
He said APMFDC wants government to pay compensation for 200 acres wakf land situated in the proposed capital region of the new state.
The board also wants Centre to allocate Moulana Abul Kalam Azad National Urdu University for the state," he said.
