The app, Parksnap, is available for downloads on Android and iOS platforms.
"Once inside the app, the person needs to search for the FIFA U-17 World Cup tab and provide the ticket number and gate number. The app will automatically locate the nearest parking spot for the ticket holder's vehicle and guide it from the destination to the parking area as per the route designated by Bidhannagar Traffic Police," an officer of the Force said.
"So, people need not worry about parking...they just need to come and enjoy the match," he said.
Around 2,600 vehicles can be parked in the designated arena at the Salt Lake Stadium. The Bidhanngar Police has also arranged for parking within two kilometres of the seven gates of the ground, the officer said.
