APSP plays a vital role in maintaining law and order, says DGP

Andhra Pradesh Special Police (APSP) battalions play a stellar role maintaining law and order in the state, Director General of Police B Prasada Rao said here today.
Speaking after launching several welfare schemes for the special police personnel and their families here, he said that officers must empathise and understand problems of APSP personnel who stay away from their families most of the time, an official release said.
The DGP distributed certificates to about 80 women, family members of APSP personnel who completed certificate courses in tailoring, fashion designing and others.
They also complimented those who completed courses in spoken English and soft skills at Russels' Institute.
