Army cook held for possessing drugs
Press Trust of India Panaji An army cook was arrested for allegedly possessing drugs near here, police said today.
The accused, identified as Datta Parvatkar, was held after a raid was conducted below a bridge yesterday, a police spokesperson said, adding 20 LSD papers (drugs) worth Rs one lakh were found on him.
"The accused is a cook in army and is stationed at Ponda. (His) Commanding Officer has been officially intimated by Anti Narcotics Cell," the spokesman said.
Parvatkar, a Goa resident, has been booked under Section 22 (C) of NDPS Act.
