Army jawan commits suicide by shooting himself in Bandipora

An army jawan allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service weapon in north Kashmir's Bandipora district, police said today.
Kuldeep Singh, of 13 Sikh Regiment, committed suicide yesterday by shooting himself with his service weapon at his company headquarters in Kanzalwan village of Gurez in Bandipora district, a police spokesperson said here.
The jawan died on the spot, the spokesperson said, adding that the reasons behind his taking extreme step were not yet known.
