Army jawan killed during grenade disposal

An army jawan was killed and two others were injured during grenade disposal at Mahajan Field Firing Range near Bikaner, defence sources said today.
The deceased was identified as a Nayank Gauri Shankar of 18 Mechanised Infantry Battalion, they said.
As the jawans were busy in exercise, they found a grenade and when they tried to dispose it, it went off suddenly killing one and injuring two others yesterday, they said.
Both the injured have been admitted to a military hospital in Suratgarh.
A court of enquiry was ordered into the incident, defence PRO Col S D Goswami said.
