Satyendra Singh, who is posted in medium regiment at Ladakh, shot dead his wife Arti (37) in Naviganj village last evening, they said.
Initially Satyendra accused his brother-in-law Hrydesh of killing Arti, but later confessed his crime, they said.
Satyendra, who has been married to Arti since 15 years, was harassing her from long as she was suffering from some disease, they said.
