Artificial Intelligence, big data dominate HR tech meet

Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) today said that its third HR Tech Conference 2017, brought together over 850 delegates, who discussed ideas including artificial intelligence big data and its impact on the future of HR.
"The two day conference saw a series of powerful sessions by CEOs as well as global HR and Technology thought leaders on the scope and impact of technology on the Human resources domain," SHRM India CEO Achal Khanna said.
The conference also had an exposition area where the latest in HR technologies were on display giving conference participants a first-hand experience of the latest digital solutions and productivity enhancers that are available at present.

Daikin launches new AC under JTKM series * Daikin air-conditioning India Pvt Ltd today launched its new AC under JTKM series with more energy efficiency features in Jaipur.
Daikin India Managing Director and CEO K J Jawa said the ACs under JTKM series bearing ISEER rating of 5.8 are tailor made for the Indian power and weather condition which offer streamer discharge technology that eliminates harmful substances like virus, dust, bad odour and allergens.
"The advanced inverter technology controls electric voltage, current and frequency of their compressors as a result the temperature remains constant, making air conditioner powerful, energy efficient, comfortable and intelligent. The ACs also sense human movement and adjust temperature accordingly," he said.

Wassup acquires Doormint for an equity swap * Wassup Laundry, an on-demand laundry and dry cleaning brand, today said it has acquired Doormint in an equity swap deal.
Through this transaction, lead VC investors in Doormint -- Kalaari Capital and Helion Ventures -- will continue to hold equity in Wassup, it said in a statement.
No financial details were disclosed.
Founded in 2011, Wassup is present in 50 stores across seven cities and has serviced over three lakh customers.
