Ashok Leyland's Pantnagar plant rolls out 100,000th vehicle

The unit has an annual capacity of 70,000 vehicles and was established in 2010

Hinduja Group flagship company Ashok Leyland rolled out 100,000th vehicle on Tuesday from its manufacturing plant in Pantnagar, Uttarakhand.

In a BSE filing, the company said it rolled out 100,000th vehicle from the Pantnagar plant on September 9.

"Pantnagar is an important step in our ambition to be a world leader in the global commercial vehicle industry...Our capacity will allow us to take advantage of the expected upswing in the economy and industry," Ashok Leyland Managing Director Vinod K Dasari said in a statement.

Ashok Leyland's Pantnagar plant with annual capacity of 70,000 vehicles was established in 2010.
