The government has declared public holiday under the NI Act 1881 read with the government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs notification no. 20/25/26/PUB-I dated 08.06.1957, a government release said today.
This declaration is made in respect of all central government offices/ public sector undertakings/ corporations/ boards/ banks/ educational institutions/ etc., in the assembly constituencies of Ratabari, Patharkandi, Karimganj North, Karimganj South, Badarpur, Hailakandi, Katlichera, Algapur, Silchar, Sonai, Dholai, Udharbond, Lakhipur, Barkhola, Katigora, Haflong, Bokajan, Howraghat, Diphu, Baithalangsu, Paneri, Udalguri, Majbat, Dhekiajuli, Barchalla, Tezpur, Sootea, Biswanath, Behali, Gohpur, Bokakhat, Sorupathar, Rongapara, Chabua, Golaghat, Khumtai, the release said.
