"There can be different views but Assam's papers (should) write about the development activities in the state so that people support the government development projects", said Purohit talking to journalists in the Raj Bhavan here.
"Journalists have a major responsibility towards it. the pen of journalists has a lot of strength. Take advantage of the situation for development of Assam", said the Governor who owns a major newspaper in Nagpur in Maharashtra.
The Governor was also appreciative of new BJP Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal stating, "He is working very hard with honesty for the development of the state and its people. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is behind him to support him as he wants to do a lot for development of Assam and the North East region".
