At stumps on the third and penultimate day at the Nehru Stadium, Assam were 157/2 in 63 overs with Das and Roy batting on 75 and 60 respectively.
Earlier, resuming on their overnight score of 196/4, Jharkhand were all out for 217 in 86.3 overs with the team's lower- order batting coming a cropper.
Dhiraj Goswami returned impressive figures of 4/20 for Assam. Assam now lead the visitors by 131 runs with eight wickets in hand.
