Four youths, two of them in their teens, alleged to be members of an interstate gang of auto lifters have landed in police's net with three stolen cars and seven motorcycles having been recovered from them.
According to police, the four accused, identified as Akram (18), Kasim (18), Amir (20) and Julfiqar (22) were allegedly involved in 10 separate cases lodged in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.
Following a tip-off, they were apprehended yesterday as they were moving on two motorcycles near Gagan Cinema in north east Delhi and it was found during the investigation that both the two-wheelers had been stolen from the Farsh Bazar area.
Three stolen cars and seven stolen motorcycles were recovered at the instance of the four accused, police said.
"All the recovered vehicles were found stolen from different areas of Haryana, UP and Delhi," said RA Sanjeev, Deputy Commissioner of Police (north-east district).
