Autodesk to offer free software to students, startups

Design solutions major Autodesk today said it will offer its cloud-based software 'Fusion 360' free to students and startups to help them design products in a better and efficient manner.
Fusion 360 will be available for free in India for makers, creative hobbyists and SMBs working on a product that is not yet commercially available with revenues of less than Rs 75 lakh per year, Autodesk Senior Vice President Platform Solutions and Emerging Business Amar Hanspal told PTI.

Gateway Distriparks Q1 net down 41% to Rs 21.63 crore * Logistics firm Gateway Distriparks today reported 41.41 per cent fall in June quarter net profit at Rs 21.63 crore on decline in revenues and a one-time tax provision.
The Navi Mumbai-headquartered company had posted a post tax net of Rs 36.91 crore on a consolidated basis in the year ago period, it said in a statement.
