The state election department in collaboration with NGO Shishu Sarothi conducted the programmes at Goalpara, Silchar, Lakhimpur, Nagaon and Dibrugarh, a release issued by Shishu Sarothi said.
The programmes were conducted to create awareness on the importance of ensuring inclusion of people with disabilities in the voting process, the release said.
The entire initiative is a reflection of the ECIs commitment to 'leave no voter behind' with special focus on persons with disabilities (PwDs)", it said.
