"We will arrange the money through contribution and help Akhlaq's family. Prime Minister Narendra Modi can ask the state government to withdraw the compensation offered to the aggrieved family if anyone has problem," he said.
Asked about the compensation given to the victim's family, Governor Naik yesterday said,"The compensation amount should be the same for similar incidents... Since victim's family fall into hardship."
