B P Sharma new CMD of Pawan Hans

B P Sharma today took over as the new Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the state-run helicopter services provider Pawan Hans, which had been lying headless since last three years.
B S Bhullar, a joint secretary in the Civil Aviation Ministry, was till now holding additional charge of the company.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) had cleared Sharma's appointment to the post on February 23.
Prior to his new appointment, Sharma was working as Airport Director and Executive Director for projects at the Kolkata Airport, the company said in a release.
He also worked with International Civil Aviation Organization's Field Project Office in Kabul as an E&M Engineer and Instructor, it said.

Sharma's appointment is for five years from the date of his assuming charge of the post or till the date of his superannuation.
