Jatin Yadav, a second year engineering at a college in Saharanwas village, was married to Manisha around nine months back, according to police.
His post mortem was conducted at a hospital in Rohtak.
While Raj Kumar Yadav, father of the deceased, complained that Jatin's strained relations with his wife provoked him to take the extreme step.
The matter is being probed further, police said.
