Dr Chopra, 62, who had served in the Indian Army as a physician, was suffering from cancer for a long time, family sources said.
Bollywood celebrities Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Ranbir Kapoor, Uday Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Anurag Basu, Madhur Bhandarkar, Ranveer Singh, Ramesh Sippy, Vipul Shah, Ramesh Taurani, Daboo Ratnani, Manish Malhotra, Puneet Malhotra and others attended the funeral.
Dr Chopra had accompanied his actor daughter to Vancouver for the TOIFA Awards earlier this year despite his ill-health. Priyanka, who won the best actress award there for her role in 'Barfi', had dedicated it to her father.
