B-town stars congratulate Leander Paes on winning US Open

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar, Rahul Bose among others have congratulated tennis player Leander Paes on winning the US Open mixed doubles crown along with Swiss great Martina Hingis.
Paes created history by winning the US Open mixed doubles title with Hingis in New York as the veteran Indian now has the highest number of mixed doubles titles in open era.
Bachchan, 72, took to Twitter to laud the tennis player for his feat.
"Leander Paes and Martina Hingis... Congratulations on US Open victory... Bit my painful tooth out during the tie break!"
Congratulating Paes, Farhan Akhtar wrote, "And the hits just keep on coming... Congratulations @Leander @mhingis on winning the mixed doubles title... #USOpen2015"
"Fantastic @Leander and @mhingis !! What an incredible display of resilience and nerve! Superb! #USOpen #mixeddoubleschampions," Rahul Bose said.
Actress Neha Dhupia tweeted, "Been sending out this tweet more often than any other n it's a great thing... Congratulations @Leander n @mhingis on ur big win. #USOpen"
Actress Sophie Choudry also congratulated the duo, writing they are a joy to watch.
"Absolutely awesome!!! Congrats Lee @leander & @mhingis... You guys are a joy to watch! #USOpen2015 "
The fourth seeded Indo-Swiss pair edged past unseeded Americans Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Sam Querrey 6-4 3-6 10-7 in the final to win their third Major title together this season.
Paes, 42, now has won nine Grand Slam mixed doubles titles, surpassing compatriot and former partner Mahesh Bhupathi's record of eight titles.
He is now behind only legendary Martina Navratilova, who has won 10 mixed doubles trophies.
