The 46-year-old singer believes that his sincerity and honesty have opened new doors for him.
"'One life one chance - this is my philosophy.' Things you love to get, you aspire to do will come to you one day for sure if you are honest and sincere. You need not go for asking.
"In fact I never asked for any roles. And these film roles came my way and I loved portraying in them-- be they were big or small," Babul told PTI at the premier of "Posto" here.
"I feel happy to be part of such a film themed on a serious issue which talks about the role of grandparents in shaping up the life of a child," he said.
The film, which released this Friday, also features Argha Basu Roy, Mimi Chakraborty, Jisshu U Sengupta and Soumitra Chatterjee.
