With all the five accused in the alleged gangrape and murder of two cousins in Katra Saadatgaj village here getting bail, the victims' family today alleged discrimination in the investigations and urged the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to help them get justice.
The father of the elder girl whose body was found hanging from the tree alleges discrimination on the part of CBI which is investigating the case .
"The topmost police official of the state (DGP UP A L Bannerji) had stated that one of the two girls was raped and now the CBI is saying that none of them were raped even without the second post mortem performed on them", he told newspersons here.
He also questioned as to why the second post mortem, planned earlier, has not been done even though the water level of Ganga because of which the bodies had not been exhumed has receded.
Expressing dissatisfaction over the ongoing CBI inquiry, the father of the younger of the two victims, urged the Prime Minister to help the family get justice asking how the family can hope to get justice when all the five accused have almost been given a clean chit.
Angry over the developments, the family also ask for withdrawal of the security cover provided to them and repeated their threat that they will all end their lives by hanging from the same tree if they failed to get justice.
It might be mentioned that all the five accused arrested in connection including the two constables have been granted bail from a local court following failure of filing of chargesheet within stipulated 90 days period.
The bodies of the two cousins, aged 14 and 15, were found hanging from a tree in Katra-Saadatganj village here in the last week of May, an incident which sparked national outrage with the Samajwadi Party government in the state coming under fire on the issue of law and order.
