Bahrain's cabinet yesterday approved the signing of an agreement between the information ministries of the two countries to boost joint cooperation in order to avail from Indian expertise in public communications and media sector and the cinema industry.
During Bahrain King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's visit to India in February this year, the two sides highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation in the field of information and broadcasting, among others.
Bahrainis would get a chance to learn from India's experience in motion picture production, advance technology and publication, Information Affairs Minister and official government spokesman Isa Al Hammadi was quoted by Gulf Daily News as saying.
India is also a world leader in modern media technology and we will try to utilise this to the highest level possible, he said.
Underlining that the agreement is a leverage for Bahrain, he said, "We will learn from their expertise with training opportunities open to Bahrainis amongst other joint programmes and activities.
