Bajaj Auto launches 2 KTM bikes priced up to Rs 2.05 lakh

Bajaj Auto today launched two supersport motorcycles from Austrian partner KTM's stable -- RC 390 and RC 200, priced at Rs 2.05 lakh and Rs 1.60 lakh respectively (ex-showroom Delhi).
Bajaj Probiking Senior Vice President Amit Nandi said with the launch of the RC series, KTM's growth in India will be enhanced.
KTM has grown by 120 per cent in the current financial year, he added.
Bookings for both the bikes will start from tomorrow across the 140 exclusive KTM dealerships in India, the company said in a statement.
While the KTM RC 390 is powered by a 373 cc engine, the KTM RC 200 has a 200cc engine. These two bikes are developed on KTM's experience in Moto3, which is the 250cc segment of MotoGP racing.
Bajaj Auto has been seeking to increase sales of performance bikes Austrian bike maker KTM, in which it has 48 per cent equity stake.
The two companies had joined hands to develop products and use the Indian firm's plant for manufacturing.
Last year KTM Sportmotorcycles AG stated that it planned to manufacture and launch Husqvarna bikes in India in the next two years.
At present, the partners sell KTM's range of bikes, including Duke 200 and Duke 390 in India, while Duke 125 produced in at Bajaj Auto's Chakan plant is exported to Europe.
