However, Bajaj Auto's exports declined 36% during the month to 1,03,976 units from 1,61,598 units in the corresponding period a year ago, the two-wheeler major said in a statement.

In commercial vehicles category, Bajaj Auto's sales during the month stood at 38,211 units, down 24% as against 50,483 units in April last year.
The company's total vehicle sales last month stood at 3,30,109 units, down 2%, as against 3,36,274 units in the same month a year earlier, it added.
