Bajra, maize move up on increased offtake

Prices of bajra and maize rose up to Rs 20 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today following increased offtake by consuming industries.
However, other grains held steady in thin trade.
Traders said pick up in demand from consuming industries amid restricted supplies from producing regions mainly led to the rise in bajra and maize prices.
In the national capital, bajra and maize moved up by Rs 10 and Rs 20 to Rs 1,535-1,540 and Rs 1,685-1,690 per quintal, respectively.
