Raising anti-Hurriyat slogans, the activists also burnt effigy of Syed Ali Shah Geelani as they demanded from the state and Centre to ban the seminar.
"It is aimed at promoting anti-India and anti-national sentiments in Kashmir Valley. The state and Central governments must immediately act and ban any such seminar," Bajrang Dal state coordinator, Rakesh Sharma said.
Stating that several known separatists are also supposed to participate in the seminar, he said, "If stringent action is not taken against separatists like Geelani then the unfinished agenda of Muslim League which led to the creation of Pakistan would get fulfilled."
Hurriyat Conference, headed by hardline separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani, decided to organise a seminar in Srinagar on June 14 to which many separatist leaders, including members from Sikhs groups and Christian community representatives have reportedly been invited.
