Bakita Bykatigato will set new trends: Srijit

Happy that 'Bakita Byaktigato' is finally unveiled for the public, three years after being shot, director Srijit Mukherjee said adding that he has more plans to promote the independent genres of films.
"Such docu-style films should be seen by the general public. I found the director's script and approach very original and bold and the audience can follow the narrative," Srijit said about the film.
Asked if he would promote more such films by makers of the Independent genre of cinema, Srijit said, "Yes. Off course, I am here to egg on Pradipta (director Pradipta Bhattacharya) and I will certainly do my bit in promoting independent film makers in future (if the project excites)."

"I hope it will set new trends and standards as an independent genre feature film," Srijit, whose Autograph had partly made the new age turnaround of urban Bengali cinema possible, said.
Popular urban, contemporary singer Anupam Roy said it was good such films were now being screened for the general public in theatres.
"In Bakita Byaktigtato (where private-public domain merge) My travelling in a bus to the mofussil with other passengers is real which merges with the fantasy world of Mohona that props up on the fringes of our daily existence. Do we physically reach where we set for always?" Ritwik, whose intense performance as foley artiste in national award winner Shabdo got him acclaim, said.

Produced by Tripod Entertainment, an initiative by few friends form the Bengali film fraternity including directors, Bakita Byaktigato was premiered last evening.
