Bal Thackeray, Vajpayee shared a deep friendship: Geete

Union Minister Anant Geete, who visited AIIMS to enquire about Atal Bihari Vajpayee's health today, said the former prime minister and the Shiv Sena founder, Bal Thackeray, had shared a deep friendship.

Geete, the lone minister from Shiv Sena in the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre, was accompanied by Aaditya Thackeray, son of Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a press conference here later in the day, the minister said Vajpayee and Bal Thackeray shared a deep friendship when the latter was alive.

According to him, Vajpayee's condition appears to be stable.
