Bandh observed in Leh in protest against the Bodh Gaya blasts

Normal life in Leh was paralysed today due to a complete bandh called by the Ladakh Buddhist Association in protest against the serial bomb blasts in Bihar's Mahabodhi complex, which left two monks injured.
Showing solidarity with the bandh call, the local merchant association has decided to kept closed all the shops and business establishments in Leh and surrounding areas.
Apart from few governments offices, schools, offices and shops were closed. Vehicles, including the private ones, were off the roads.
At around 11 AM, a huge procession, comprising of thousands of Buddhist monks, nuns and locals, was brought out in protest against the terror attack on the faith's holiest shrine.

They demanded high security to Buddhist pilgrimages on par with the mosques, churches, and temples in the country.
