Two persons have been arrested in Bangladesh for their alleged links to the dreaded Islamic State (IS) militant group, police said.
"One of the two arrested last night is an IS leader while the other is an activist," a police spokesman told PTI .
He said their detective branch tracked down the two at the Uttara area of the city.
On January 19, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested the coordinator of the militant group in Bangladesh along with three others.
In September last year, police had arrested a British man on suspicion of trying to recruit people for IS. He had spent time in Syria and previously belonged to militant group al-Nusra Front.
