Actor Barry Pepper has boarded the cast of Paramount Pictures' horror thriller "Crawl".
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 48-year-old actor will be joined by his "Maze Runner: The Death Cure" co-star Kaya Scodelario in the film.
To be directed by "Piranha 3D" helmer Alexandre Aja, the film follows a young woman who, while struggling to save her father during a Category 5 hurricane, finds herself trapped inside a flooding house and fighting for her life against Florida's most savage and feared predators.
The project, which will be produced by Sam Raimi along with Craig Flores, is currently in production.
Pepper, who is best known for his work in films such as "Saving Private Ryan", "The Green Mile" and "True Grit", will also be seen in upcoming Holocaust drama "The Painted Bird".
