The company, which follows a January-December fiscal, had reported a net profit of Rs 52.75 crore in the October-December quarter of last year, Bata India said in a BSE filing.
Bata India's total income decreased to Rs 544.72 crore for the quarter under review, down 3.10 per cent as against Rs 562.17 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.
Meanwhile, in a separate filing, Bata India said that Way Finders Brands Ltd (WFBL) has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company with effect from February 10, 2015.
Shares of Bata India today closed at Rs 1,292.90 on the BSE, down 2.40 per cent from previous close.
