The Baroda Cricket Association (BCA), searching for its own office premises in the city, has invited offers from interested parties.
The BCA is looking for a "sprawling new office", said newly-elected secretaries to BCA, Anshuman Gaekwad and Sanjay Patel.
"The association requires 15,000 sq feet of premises with a facility to accommodate parking of 20-30 cars. The offer should be sent to BCA within 11 days," they said.
According to office-bearers, the BCA wants to purchase the premises with clear marketable titles and preferably in prime location of the city.
BCA has been operating from an old building, located adjacent to the Motibaug Cricket Ground since 2003, since it shifted its office from Raopura locality following the defeat of its then Secretary Jaywant Lele in BCA election held in 2002.
Till then office was located in a small flat adjacent to Lele's residence.
Former 'Maharaja' of Vadodara Sangramsinh Gaekwad had leased out the current property to BCA in 2008 and the lease period is expiring next month.
The Motibag ground has hosted many national and international cricket matches, including one-dayers in the past where well-known players of almost all prominent cricket teams have played matches.
