Bhattacharya, who has led BCG India for six years and helped make India a role model within the BCG network, will move to a larger global role. He will become a director of the Bruce Henderson Institute and also head the strategic agenda of BCG in Asia-Pacific.
Aggarwal, a 16-year BCG veteran, was heading its technology, media & telecom and financial services verticals as a senior partner from Delhi and will continue to operate from the national Capital.

When asked about his plans for the company, Aggarwal told PTI that he would continue to build on the tremendous goodwill that BCG has in the country.
“We already have a very strong platform. I want to continue to build that further. We are also one of the most preferred, and top recruiters here, having hired the best 100 talents from the top B-schools last year and I want to continue to build on all these,” Aggarwal, an IIT-Delhi and IIM-A alumni, said.
BCG has over 36 partners in the country and over 460 consultants, apart from over 250 staff at various offshore centres in the country, he added.
When asked about BCG India’s role in its global network, Aggarwal said a total of 20 Indians were in the global leadership roles at the group, including two in the 12-member global executive committee. He said he hoped the roles of Indians in the company’s global footprint would expand.
Speaking on Aggarwal’s appointment, BCG Asia Pacific chairman Janmejaya Sinha said, “Neeraj is passionate about contributing to the India growth story. I am sure he will build on the strong platform that he inherits and take BCG to greater heights.”
Aggarwal joined BCG in 1999 and was an ambassador in BCG’s New York office and is a current member of the India management team. Prior to joining the BCG, he worked in the hi-tech industry including the US electronic design automation firm Cadence Design Systems in San Jose.
