BDO debarred from attending duty

A Block Development Officer has been asked not to attend office till further order following report of his alleged immoral conduct in Kathihar district, official sources said today.
Azam Nagar BDO Ratan Lal was caught allegedly in a compromising position with a woman some distance away from his official residence by some villagers last night, they said.
The villagers thrashed the official and tried to take him to police station, but he escaped, sources said.
As the villagers lodged a complaint against the BDO for committing immoral act, District Magistrate Prakash Kumar asked the officer to stay away from duty till further order, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Mahendra Pal said.
