According to a release, the Home Department has asked various officials, including DGP, District Magistrates, IGPs of Ranges besides the Commissioners of Police and all SPs "to ensure compliance of instructions and also take appropriate action in case of any violations".
The order comes after Haryana Government, in pursuance of the directions of the Supreme Court, pruned the list of authorised persons and ordered immediate removal of the red beacons atop vehicles of other persons, on March 3.
In case the vehicle fitted with red light was not carrying the dignitaries, such light would not be used and should be covered by a black cover, she had added.
