A preliminary inquiry recently had confirmed that the institution was not affiliated to any national or state council, AICTE or Tamilnadu Technical Education Department.
The institution had its registration only as a 'shop and establishment'.
Criminal action should also be taken against such unregistered institutions, a release from Raj Nivas said.
