Belarus strongman says wants to 'open fresh chapter' in ties with US

Belarus's strongman ruler Alexander Lukashenko said he was looking for a fresh start in ties with Washington as he met Thursday with White House national security advisor John Bolton.

"Since the start of the deterioration of our relations with the United States we have constantly proposed turning this bad page and opening a new chapter in our relations," Lukashenko told Bolton in Minsk, during the rare visit by a US official.
