Bengal guv greets people ahead of Bengali new year

West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi today extended his greetings to the people of the state on the eve of Bengali New Year and wished them peace and prosperity.
"Poila Baisakh marks the beginning of the Bengali New Year, a significant day in the lives of the people of West Bengal. May the Bengali New Year bring with it peace and prosperity to all people of the State irrespective of caste, creed and religion," Tripathi said in a statement released from his official residence Raj Bhawan today.
"I pray that this New Year fulfils the hopes and desires of the entire people of West Bengal. On this auspicious occasion, I convey my heartiest greetings and best wishes for the well being of the people of the State," the Governor said.
