Bhatinda to host WKL's 2nd weekend in Punjab from tomorrow

The historical town of Bhatinda will host the second weekend of Punjab leg of the inaugural Wave World Kabaddi League (WKL) with Punjab Thunders taking on Yo Yo Tigers in the first match here tomorrow.
The Bhatinda leg og WKL will be held at the Rajindra College ground from September 13 to 15.
After completing five successful weekends in four different cities and across two continents, the second weekend of Punjab leg will feature six matches with six teams in action.
After four weeks of weaving magic, WKL has attained a reach of over 19 million in the Hindi speaking markets of TAM (television audience measurement) and over 3 million in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh market, acording to the orgainsers.
In the second match of the day tomorrow, league leaders Khalsa Warriors will take on Royal Kings USA.
Talking about the preparation of Royal Kings USA, coach Makhan Chrick, said, "We are working hard to improve our stop line. We are looking forward to Saturday's match against Khalsa Warriors, their performance so far has been commendable. Our target is to defeat Khalsa Warriors."
WKL matches will be played in four cities in Punjab, namely, Ludhiana, Bathinda, Jalandar and Amritsar.
The tournament is being broadcast live on Sony Six, the official broadcasting partner for the league in India.
Speaking on the occasion, commissioner of WKL said Pargat Singh said, "Wave WKL is a huge platform for kabaddi talent across the globe. All our teams are also very excited and looking forward to playing in Bhatinda. After receiving overwhelming response in the previous destinations we are happy to bring this game to the home land. We hope to recreate the kabaddi magic in the oldest city of Punjab."
Bhatinda has been a host to inaugural matches of kabaddi World Cup for the last three editions. However, WKL will bring the Indian and international players together under one platform in the city.
The Punjab leg will have 22 matches spread across four weekends.
