BigBasket.Com enters Chennai; to hit NCR market soon

Online grocery retailer BigBasket.Com has launched its service in Chennai, making it as the fifth city in operation across the country.
Currently, BigBasket.Com offers its service in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune.
"As part of the expansion plans, the company would commence operations in the National Capital Region shortly,", a company statement said.
The online retailer offers fresh fruits and vegetables, grocery, personal care products required for a household, according to BigBasket.Com CEO Hari Menon.
"We see tremendous potential and scalability for the e-grocery space in Chennai. With this launch, BigBasket.Com will now be the new destination for food and grocery buyers across the city..", he said.

BigBasket.Com would operate a central warehouse in Chennai, from which the products would be delivered to customers, he said.
