A special court today awarded 20 years' prison term to three men for raping a Dalit woman in this district of Bihar.
SC & ST Special Court Judge Ashok Kumar Pandey awarded 20 years of imprisonment to each of the three men under the section 376D (gang-rape) of the Indian Penal Code and sections of the Scheduled Castes and Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
Special public prosecutor of SC & ST court Ashok Kumar Choudhary said the three convicted had raped the woman at Nawada village under Neemchak Bathani police station on July 18, 2017, when she was on her way to her in-law's house from her paternal home.
