motorcycle lifting gang were arrsted and 8 stolen bikes recovered from them in Odisha's Jajpur district, police said today.
After being arrested, the five were forwarded to a local court yesterday which remanded them to judicial custody rejecting their bail applications.
The accused have been identified as Gulia Budioli of Anandapur in Keonjhar, Anjan Kumar Purty of Hudisahi and Purna Gagarai alias Daktar, Ranjan Badara and Biswaranjan Purty of Jogisahi in Jajpur Road.
According to police, the gang operated in the town and its periphery areas.
The gang was caught in police net during a vehicle check, said Rajiv Lochan Panda, Inspector-in-charge of Jajpur Road police station.
