Birla Corporation Limited today reported a 30 per cent jump in its consolidated net profit to Rs 131.12 crore for the quarter ended March 2018 as compared to Rs 100.89 crore profit in the year-ago period.
The company in a statement said its income from operations during the quarter stood at Rs 1,650.6 crore.
Its cement sales for the March quarter stood at 34.1 lakh tonnes, compared to 32.8 lakh tonnes in the same period the previous year, reflecting an increase of 4 per cent.
The board of directors proposed a dividend of Rs 6.50 per share.
