BJP asks govt to ensure hospitals equipped to tackle swine flu

Puducherry unit of BJP today urged the government to ensure that the Indira Gandhi Government General hospital and all the primary health centres in the Union Territory were fully equipped with stocks of drugs for the for treatment of swine flue and dengue fever.
General Secretary of Puducherry unit ot the party R V Swaminathan said that "it is indeed heart rending that patients with complaints of these dreaded diseases were turned away from the hospitals for want of drugs."
Awreness campaigns should also be conducted associating school children to sensitise people, he said in a statement.
